Just coming out of these puppies on the way home yesterday. They were not forecasted and the TAF's for the route was scattered clouds at worst. A surface low developed over Michigan with a little trough associated south west kicking up CB's from lake moisture coming over the hot ground. They were localized which made for easy deviation's around them.
A bunch of race tracks just around Port Huron Mi.
